2012 Acura MDX

The 2012 Acura MDX sees no major changes. Acura's flagship SUV seats up to 7 and has standard all-wheel drive. All versions are powered by a 300-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 engine and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Maximum towing capacity is 5,000 pounds. Trim levels include Base, Technology, and Advance. Safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, front-side airbags, and curtain-side airbags. Hill-start assist, a mirror with rearview camera display, and a power tailgate are standard across the board. Other standard features include a sunroof, leather upholstery, heated front seats, and a wireless cell-phone link. Technology models include a voice-activated navigation system with real-time traffic and weather information, a multi-view rear camera that displays a 180-degree view behind the vehicle or an overhead view of the tow hitch, a hard drive for storing digital-music files, and Song By Voice, a voice-activated music-playback function. Advance versions add a driver-adjustable sport suspension, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot alert, forward-collision warning, ventilated front seats, and 19-inch wheels. DVD entertainment with heated 2nd-row seats is available on the Technology and Advance, and versions so equipped are priced as separate models.
